Candidates are required to complete the relevant application form and email it, with the appropriate attachments, to the Membership Officer. Click here to download the application form.

Application process

If you are applying for the grade of Associate membership, your application process will comprise stages 1 to 12 below.

  1. Applicant completes membership Application Form
  2. Applicant receives “Automated Response” to Application
  3. IRHC records applicant details on the IRHC Membership Register
  4. IRHC seeks applicant reference requests
  5. IRHC seeks applicants Clinical Qualifications
  6. IRHC checks Professional Qualifications
  7. IRHC Membership Secretary provides Summary Report to IRHC Council
  8. IRHC sends email to applicant notifying Council Decision
  9. Applicant receives Confirmation Letter
  10. Applicant pays subscription “on line”
  11. Applicant receives IRHC Membership Certificate
  12. Applicant receives IRHC Membership Card

In summary

  • On receipt of the membership application, the application and supporting material is initially assessed by a member of the Membership Committee and then considered by the Committee at its next meeting.
  • The Membership Committee forwards its recommendations to the Council of the IRHC, which makes a final membership decision.
  • Election letters, certificates and membership subscription invoices are issued after IRHC Council’s decision has been made.
  • On receipt of your annual subscription, we will send confirmation of your election.
