Tele Education & E-Learning

International tele-education was pioneered between Aberdeen University and the UAE University at the end of the last century in the following areas which are still relevant:

• UAE Undergraduate teaching of Post Mortem pathology imported live from Aberdeen  University.
• Delivery of academic clinical papers from UAE to overseas scientific meetings.
• Description and discussion of complex surgical patients between UAE consultants and UK surgeons.

Supervision and examination of UAE higher degree students in Al-Ain,UAE, in association with Aberdeen University.

• Current aims of the Institute in tele-educational delivery include:-
• Offshore/Rig Medic training and education courses international.
• Ambulance paramedic training and education courses overseas.
• Provision of continuous medical education directly to the clinic of the health professional in the UAE.
